Camp Glenorchy: A Showcase of Green Construction

Congratulations to the Camp Glenorchy Project, which has recently opened in Glenorchy, near Queenstown.

This fantastic Living Building Challenge project is a showcase of what is possible in green construction, and a real benchmark here in New Zealand.

Abodo's Vulcan Primed Cladding makes a small appearance as a board and batten cladding on selected huts, and internal feature walls.

Vulcan Primed Cladding is created from thermally modified New Zealand plantation timber and factory pre-primed for optimal coating performance. The thermal modification process means Vulcan Primed has enhanced stability, reduced resin content (great for dark colours) and is naturally durable so doesn't require added chemical preservatives.

Camp Glenorchy's design and exceptionally high standard is a testament to the determination of the owners.

Please note: Vulcan Primed Cladding is no longer available. If you are wanting a pre-primed or painted weatherboard, please contact us. Otherwise, please see our Vulcan Cladding range.
