Tundra-clad Chemis Cabin Wins NZIA Award

Our congratulations to DCA Architects of Transformation, who won a Small Projects Architecture Award in the recent 2020 NZIA Waikato/BOP Architecture Awards.

The Chemis Cabin is a highly compact little building that is “nestled unobtrusively into a lush native bush environment”.

Clad in our Tundra Cladding + Sioo:x wood coating, this cabin retreat is hidden within a beautiful established garden.

Designed to Passive Haus standards it will be warm and cosy with very little energy use.

Our FSC® certified Tundra Cladding has a beautiful, rustic look, while the Sioo:x finish provides an accelerated pre-weathered look. The perfect complement for the cabin’s natural setting.

Please note: Tundra Cladding is no longer available. However, you can achieve a similar look in our Vulcan Cladding – Standard Series.
