A Chance to Win a Stay at Abodo’s Cardrona Cabin

To celebrate being part of the New Zealand Pavilion at Design Show Australia, visitors to our stand on either of the trade only days of Thursday 13 June and Friday 14 June 2024, will be able to enter to win a highly coveted stay for up to two people at our award winning Cardrona Cabin.

Built as Abodo’s showcase, the Cardrona Cabin, situated in the heart of the alpine village of Cardrona, New Zealand, has become known as a ‘chapel to craft’.

Something truly special to experience is the craft in the Abodo eco-timbers used throughout, the exceptional design by Assembly Architects taking an abstracted gable form of a Central Otago stone shed; and in the build by Dunlop Builders who crafted every aspect with meticulous detail.

What a prize to win! And, at an estimated total prize value of A$3000 for two nights' accommodation, a Flight Centre gift card to get there, plus a dining voucher at the nearby, iconic Cardrona Hotel, who wouldn’t want to enjoy an all-season escape to the spectacular Cardrona Valley?

What you need to do to take part:

• Register to attend the Design Show Australia.
• Plan to visit Sydney's ICC on Thursday 13 June or Friday 14 June.
• Find the New Zealand Pavilion constructed with Abodo timber - easy to spot at one of the entrances to the Show.
• Come to the Abodo stand to enter (New Zealand Pavilion 2).

Cardrona Cabin, Design Show Australia prize giveaway terms and conditions

1. Prize includes

• A two night stay for up to two people at Abodo’s Cardrona Cabin on a Saturday and Sunday night, subject to availability.
• Flight Centre gift card for flights and rental car up to the value of A$2000.
• NZ$200 Cardrona Hotel voucher for food and beverage.

2. Entry is open to Design Show Australia 2024 Architect and Designer Trade Day visitors who have entered from Abodo’s stand.
3. The prize giveaway commences at 10am Thursday 13 June 2024 and closes at 5pm Friday 14 June 2024.
4. The prize will be drawn on Friday 14 July 2024 randomly selected from this competition and the winner will be contacted by email. Upon notification, the winner must respond and advise their name and contact details.
5. The prize is not transferable, and no cash or other alternatives will be offered.
6. Stay days and times must when the Cardrona Cabin showroom is closed.
7. Facilities at the cabin include a Queen bed with all linen provided, bathroom, kitchenette, WIFI and air conditioning. No TV and the cabin is NOT suitable for anyone with accessibility needs given access to the mezzanine bedroom is via a steep ladder and there is no ramp to the main entrance.
