Aware that it is located on a prime scenic location, Laird Tran Architects were tasked with designing new golf club facilities for the Shire of Broome, which will be a drawcard for thousands of international visitors.

Located within 100 m of the Indian Ocean the facility required a durable, low maintenance solution - which is why the architect used our Vulcan Cladding with Sioo:x coating.

Installed in September 2020, the Vulcan timber cladding came pre-finished with Sioo:x.

In order to cure and turn silver the Sioo:x requires moisture and carbon dioxide, making the timing of installation perfect for the upcoming wet and humid summer conditions.

The timber will turn into an even weathered patina despite the large roof overhead.

After 8 months the timber is slowly turning to silver.
