The floating eaves of the Silver House provide protection from the harsh east coast sun, sheltering the occupants while maintaining a commanding view of the bay.

The client brief was for a low maintenance natural facade that would silver to a grey shade. Shane and his team specified Abodo Vulcan Cladding with Protector - Patina finish.

Protector - Patina is a penetrating oil that leaves a silver grey hue on timber.

As ultraviolet rays from the sun hit the surface the wood fades, leaving the grey and titanium pigments of Patina to pop out – ensuring an even silvery grey weathered finish on all elevations of cladding.
