New Zealand’s First Living Building Challenge

Te Uru Taumatua is the Tūhoe tribe’s new administrative and cultural hub. The project is aiming to become New Zealand’s first Living Building.

The Living Building Challenge requires that all materials be analysed and approved to the highest environmental credentials.

FSC® certified timber supplied by Abodo features extensively throughout the project, including: exterior weatherboards, “Board and Batten” cladding, decking, structural timbers, doors, and some of the interior joinery.
